Velvet was from the only litter out of a bitch I much admired, Sam and Will Roden’s Skyla. Velvet was everything I hoped for in the show ring.

She started her show career in the Baby class in Amsterdam at 4 months and reached the last 6 for Best Baby in Show. She has continued in the same vein and gained her UK title with 3 CCs (under breed specialists Rade Vesic (with BIS), Jay Horgan (with BOB), and Sue Mycroft), 3 RCC (under breed specialists Chris Parker, Billy Henderson and Viv Lucas), 1 CAC and 3 RCAC. She started 2017 by winning BB at Boston under breed specialist Richard Stracey and also won BIS at NECDS open show. She won RBB at Scottish Dobermann Cub open show 2016 under breed specialist Lynne Jones. Velvet has over 50 class wins, 15 BOB, 5 group wins, 2 RBIS and 2 BIS.

Velvet had all her KC Good Citizen certificates and won the Special Pre Pre Beginners and Special Pre Beginners obedience classes at BDDC in January 2016. She qualified at her first Rally competition in April 2017.

Velvet was vWD clear, hips 4:4, PHPV clear. She tested free of DCM annually till 2023 by echo.
